books i took out of the library in 2011

This is kind of sad because it’s a short list! I know I have read titles that I did not get from the library (most notably Thinking Fast and Slow which is incredible), so they are not on the list, but still - the truth is I didn’t read nearly as much as I normally do this past year. It’s partly cos I’ve been busy falling in love, and partly because I’ve been reading more random stuff on the internet - something I want to change. Anyway, here’s the library list:

The Privileges/ Jonathan Dee

 The Master Switch/ Tim Wu

 Artscience / David Edwards

The Age of Wonder / Richard Holmes

Chasing the Sun/ Richard Cohen

Silent Thunder/ Katy Payne

Just Kids / Patti Smith

Overcoming Under-earning/ Barbara Stanny

Home, paper/ Patricia Zapata

True History of the Kelly Gang / Peter Carey

Rebels in Paradise/ Hunter Drohojowska-Philp

Conquistadora/ Esmeralda Santiago

The Swerve: How the world became modern / Stephen Greenblatt

Shibori : creating color & texture on silk / Karren K. Brito

The Power of Story : rewrite your destiny in business and in life / Jim Loehr

“A void point is a critical transition between an old reality and a new one. That which was, has ended. Instead of regretting the loss, you accept the void. This is, for many persons, a challenging undertaking, because in the void point there is nothing that can be done.” ———
